The sock was historically a sock for women. The sock appeared at the beginning of the 1940s. Nylon factories were used for armaments during the Second World War, young girls were encouraged to trade their tights in nylon against shorter socks. From year to year, socks became shorter and were adopted by schoolgirls.
Historically, there was the “sock”, a sandal with wooden soles thick litters by religious people.
